LOST AND FOUND

I go to check my my email and in my box of new emails ,I open up the daily devotion email from upper room, and the verse for today is out of Matthew 5:21-24 and Ephesians 4:32.I go a read the devotion and out of those verse its talking about reconciling ,forgiving, settling conflicts, and being quick to forgive others as Christ has forgiven us.so,I'm reading theses verses and I am reminded of a conflict earlier today I had with a friend and just how hurt I was of the words used to hurt me and how I was treated, but you know in that situation, I let it affect me and I let my hurt control me and affect how I treated and talked to another friend,so the lesson here is don't let other attitudes and conflicts with you affect how you treat others,if you let it control you your hurting your self double and hurting someone innocent. So be quick to forgive and don't say oh I forgive you and walk a way with your feeling still being hurt like a splinter in your hand ,forgiving and letting go is not easy ,but if you ask God for his strength to guide and help mend the situation and heal hurts on both sides.

Matthew 5:21-24 (NRSV)

"You have heard that it was said to those of ancient times, 'You shall not murder'; and 'whoever murders shall be liable to judgment.' But I say to you that if you are angry with a brother or sister, you will be liable to judgment; and if you insult a brother or sister, you will be liable to the council; and if you say, 'You fool,' you will be liable to the hell of fire. So when you are offering your gift at the altar, if you remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift.
